And at 85\u00b0F, it’s too hot for the plants to produce lycopene and carotene, the pigments responsible for the fruit color. Once temperatures consistently drop below 50\u00b0F,\u00a0green fruits won’t ripen. Tomatoes with a bit of color change can be brought inside to finish ripening.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In general, place the bulb in a hole that’s two to three times the depth of the bulb. Most hardy bulbs you only need to plant once, and they’ll keep coming up year after year, but hybrid tulips are an exception. It’s best to pull them up when they are done blooming, replant new tulip bulbs each fall, or choose\u00a0species of tulips<\/a>\u00a0that become perennial.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
